Chico Lifestyle one year old session on film
I spent the afternoon with Porter and his mama this past week and it was so much fun. We captured these photos for his one year old birthday which is coming up soon.
They met me at my home Chico garden studio for a quick mini session to capture portraits before he reaches the one year mark.

As a mom, it feels easier in the moment to not get in front of the camera and I totally get it!
I’ve been there too when my body is either in a place of healing or not quite where I want to be. Maternity season is so beautiful but also another chance to surrender. Surrender the way our bodies shape and mold when we’re growing a baby.

This was my last Chico family photo session before having my second son Oliver. It was extra special for me for a number of reasons. Number one was because this was a family session with two boys that are the same gape that my two sons are. It felt like a glimpse into my new reality and make me so excited to watch the bond grow between my sons just like these two boys.
Second, Ashley had worked in the wedding industry with us and it was such an honor that reached out wanted to capture this sweet season of her family out on their beautiful property near Butte College.

When we arrived, the clouds were rolling in but quickly cleared and we got to see the beautiful view of the Bay Area from their kitchen window.
